Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) announces the upcoming Women of Service (WOS) Fashion Show, scheduled for Thursday, August 22, in Tex Turner Arena. This exciting event aims to raise funds to support scholarships, food pantries, a clothing closet, and other student initiatives sponsored by the WOS organization. The community is invited to this one-of-a-kind event!
Dr. Audrey Kinder of Kinder Family and Cosmetic Dentistry of Pineville, Kentucky sponsors this year’s fashion show. Kinder graduated magna cum laude from LMU in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2018. WVLT Morning Anchor Casey Wheeless will return as emcee.
Sponsored tables, perfect for businesses or groups of friends, ensure reserved seating, food served at the table, and an ad in the program. Tables for six are $500 and can be purchased through August 3. Individual tickets are available exclusively online from July 22 to August 12 for $25. Seats are not reserved, but ticket holders will enjoy charcuterie boards, desserts, and drinks.
Attendees will enjoy a fashion show designed to build confidence, showcasing a variety of clothing styles and featuring a few exciting surprises. Everyone will leave with the latest fashion and beauty tips.
Established in 2011, the LMU Women of Service is open to all women who want to help students at LMU. By living as an example of service, WOS members teach LMU students about the mission of service to humanity. The Women of Service Fashion Show and the Christmas Festival are dedicated to raising funds for scholarships and other WOS initiatives. The WOS has provided 15 scholarship awards to date and also supports five food pantries and a student career closet.
